An epic adventure story of heroism, love and nobility set in the ferocious but beautiful Gobi desert, the film follows two warriors, Lieutenant Li and Japanese emissary Lai Xi as they travel the Central Asian Silk Road 13 centuries ago. After faithfully serving his Emperor, Lai Xi longs to return to his home, but instead of East he is sent West to track down wanted criminals ¨C and most wanted of all is Lieutenant Li, a renegade soldier who refused to order the massacre of women and children. Visually stunning and breathlfessly exciting,for a final touch of splendour, the wonderfulsoundtrack is providedby the legendary A.R.
