*a little bit spoiler below on the show* and this is a very crappy personal comment of mine on the show.. =P
Heyyy guys!! Yes yes I've finished watching MIP! I finished 12 episodes on Monday and Tuesday.. and finished off 32 episodes on Saturday until Sunday - NONSTOP!!! Ahhaha. I was watching from Saturday 3pm until Sunday 11am.. without sleeping. So happy that I could finish it! Hehe.
Honestly, I expected better from this show. If Vicki did not act in it, no way would I actually want to spend hours watching it.. The mood of the whole show is low, moody and it is just full of tears. It felt really slow, and the language spoken are very deep. Which is good in a sense, it improves my Chinese! Haha.. =P one more thing, its very dramatic, lots of kneeling and begging. Haha! =X
the storyline is really interesting though, there are A LOT A LOT of twists and turns in every single character's life. One can see the different perspective each person has towards their family, society, and themselves. It makes you want to continue and find out whats the ending going to be like..
The back part of the show felt a little bit like Romance in The Rain.. heheh. =)
And one thing for sure when you watch it, you will feel so so so helpless for Vicki's character.. there are so so many times I just feel like giving the male character (vicki's husband) and TIGHT SLAP!!! HAHAHAHA! =P
At some point, I actually feel that Vicki's character, Yao Mu lan, reflects Vicki herself. I cried umpteen times watching it.. it makes me think about the old times when she had to go through so so much herself, but she never gave up. She never complains and she came back even better! =)
of course not leaving out Vicki's acting... one word: AMAZING... oh wait, + AMAZING + AMAZING + AMAZING x100! Hahaha. More than 100x I bet. Hehe.. she is just WOW.
Anyway,
I downloaded the videos of Vicki in Indonesia that was provided by Edi Yang (THANKS EDI!!).. and I watched it right after finish watching MIP.. I saw myself hugging Vicki on the stage.. I cried, I cried so so hard. I don't know why, maybe because I miss her too much now =(.. I just hope to see Vicki one more time, just ONE MORE TIME.. that hug was really unforgettable..
but I feel stupid. Haha.. I saw myself on the stage, I looked like an idiot!! Haha =( I was like star-struck. Oh well anyway, that's VICKI ZHAO FOR GOD SAKE! Lol! >< But I really miss her soo much.. don't you guys too?!?!? =(
But still, I hope the best in everything for Vicki.. may she be forever happy and may she get her happiness soon. =)
I guess I've written too much now.. ahahah. Hope people are not getting bored.
PS: I don't know why I am not able to post any message or reply any message in the forum! =( that's why I've asked Li Ning to help me repost this message, cause I just feel like telling everyone about what I feel! Hehee thanks li ning!

was somewhat slow, but this is the style that most mainland dramas take the form of. Compared to taiwan/hk/korean dramas, most ppl will undoubtedly feel the storyline drags. However, I felt that for a mainland drama, it was of great quality. I think the script could have been better near the end (I think they were trying to follow the book, while not dragging the series), but it was captivating for most of the series. Haven't read the novel, so I can't compare, but having watched a few eps of Zhao Ya Zhi's version, I can say that they really are two entirely different production styles.
Due to Vicki's high controversial ratio, there will definitely be higher expectations and critical appraisals of the drama. After watching the series, I think Vicki did very well, and I really liked the sub male character who played Vicki's younger sister's first love - Nu Hui Yu - great new find! Everyone did well, except for Vicki's younger sister, her acting was too over-exaggerated in comparison to all the other actors, but I think that has to due with Taiwan actor's acting style contrasting with mainland's making it especially obvious.
Ah!! So many great acting newcomers in mainland! Deng Chao is awesome, and Gao Yun Xiang has a lot of potential. Man, too many to get excited about...really waiting for "Five-Star Hotel," another controversial modern drama, introducing newbies! Yea!
I finished watching Moment in Peking!!!! =)
