Vicki Zhao Wei play the leading character in new version of "Moment in Peking", set a new record for CCTV as highest pay drama in years.

Yesterday, CCTV film and television department diclosed, in celebration of 60th Anniversty of Sina-Japanese War, CCTV will offer Moment in Peking.

After the broadcasting of Moment in Peking, CCTV will continue to broadcast it second highest pay drama "Wu DaDi"

The 40 volume drama "Moment in Peking" adapated from Lin YuTang's novel of the same name, chronological details, the histrory, wealth and ultamitely down fall of three families, in three generation.

The drama will detail the Boxer Movement to Sino-Japanese War, with the appearance of ZhaoWei, Chan Bao Guo, Mrs Chen Bao Guo, Pan Hong and so on. In order to convince ZhaoWei to play Yao MuLan, production team have to pay ZhaoWei and high 6-figures per episode.

The price, disucssion and visit from production company, ZhaoWei fdinally satisfied with the script and agree to return to TV screen after years of absent.

Its report, beside a formadable production, big cast, Moment in Peking able to create the atmoshpere of time periods.
CCTV decided to broadcast Moment in Peking in July 7, 2005.

Each episode of Moment in Peking cost more than 600,000, therefore CCTV purchased it with highest price.

The movie make side disclosed, the price of Moment in Peknig suprass that of Wu DaDai( 35 million yuan), and set a new record for CCTV. CCTV have great condifence in the drama, ZhaoWei's acting, charm, and the appeal to Chinese citizen.

CCTV generated 120 million yuan in advertitment this year, with the broadcasting of Moment Peking it will generate CCTV more reenue from giant company.

At the present, Moment in Peking is in later period of production, it been decided, ZhaoWei will sing the theme song of Moment in Peking.

Vicky Zhao stars in Chinese TV drama "Moment in Peking".

The 40-episode Chinese TV drama "Moment In Peking"(¾©»ªÑÌÔÆ) will hit screens on CCTV1 at the end of this month.

The Chinese state television has spent 600,000 Yuan, or over 72,000 US dollars, for the screening of each episode of the TV series, which also marked a record high in Chinese TV series made by the "Han Wu Emperor"(ººÎä´óµÛ) at the beginning of this year.

With an investment of 30 million Yuan, about 3.5 million US, dollars "Moment In Peking", an adaption from renowned Chinese writer Lin Yutang's classic of the same name, stars Chen Baoguo and Vicky Zhao, who shot to fame in a TV series based on celebrated Taiwan novelist Qiong Yao's classics.

This is Vicky Zhao's first performance after her 4 years of silence in the film circle.

Different from the former hoyden roles in Qiong Yao's classics, Vicky Zhao said she played a soft and modest girl in the new TV series, a big change in her performing direction.

anyways, even wei said that playing the part of yao mulan is a different from the other roles she had played..... we'll be seeing a different wei here

Today,in the 11th Shanghai Television Festival,a CCTV officer told reporter that Moment in Peking will realesed in July.
And CCTV bought first and second shown rights.
