The 29th Hongkong International Film Festival
Note: Narrator seems to be a mainlander watching in HK theaters
- Lots of people went to watch, filled theater - old and young, many older women - audience most were either artistic-movie-watching group or fans - HK audience were more expressive than mainland audience during watching of movie; when mainland watched, they remained quiet & pensive while watching the movie, narrator compared the 2 experiences of watching with 2 different audiences. HK audience laughed at some scenes, which he/she thought was somewhat unusual, perhaps due to mandarin understanding, and other factors.
