Old news ;D [glow=red,2,300]Jackie Chan and Zhao Wei went karaoke after racing event[/glow] Sun Newspapers 21/11/2000 After attending the Macau Cup racing event, Jackie Chan and Zhao Wei went back to Hong Kong. That night, Jackie invited Zhao Wei and his members of entourage to a karaoke lounge for a singing session. They sang until past midnight and Jackie, ever the big brother, personally escorted Zhao Wei to catch a taxi back to her hotel. Jackie amicably put his arm over Zhao Wei's shoulders as he walked Zhao Wei out from the lounge. As Zhao Wei got inside the taxi, Jackie leaned over the window screen and checked if Zhao Wei knew the way back to her hotel. Zhao Wei, happy and touched by Jackie's hospitality, nodded her affirmative and smiled. Jackie Chan and Zhao Wei came out of the karaoke lounge after 2.30 a.m. and allowed reporters to take their photographs. Jackie Chan (second from left) was concerned whether Zhao Wei (inside the car) knew the way back to her hotel.

Zhao Wei and Jackie Chan visited each other in China and Hong Kong, Jackie's golden advice on concept of life and sincerity
Source:Mingpao Weekly No.1656
Zhao Wei was invited by Asia TV Station to Hongkong for the promotion of her new TV serial "Swordsgirl"(or Treasure Venture). Within the short period of 20 hours, she had to attend 13 activities and interviews with the reporters from the whole island. From the time she stepped into Hongkong to the time she left, she slept only 3 hours. But Zhao Wei still felt that the trip was worth while. She quoted, "If compare to director Zhu Yan Ping, I mean nothing. He purposely flies over from Taiwan to Hongkong just to attend my signing session of which only lasted for couple of minutes. I feel touch." Zhao Wei was concerned over the rating of "Swordsgirl" and when she heard that the average rating had reached 12 points and the highest hit 14 points, she felt that the result was just an average. She told the reporter during the long distance interview that though she was very tired after the whirlwind visit in Hongkong, she felt that it was worth while. She said, "When this serial was shown in Taiwan, I could not go there for promotion, I felt that I did not do my best there. So this time no matter how busy I am, I have to go to Hongkong and hope that the media will support me by writing more reports letting the readers know that I have gone there for promotion for this serial and hope that more people will watch this serial."
ZhaoWei ever gets herself into Dead End: Though HZGG had brought the glory to Asia TV Station in the rating, Zhao Wei do not expect her "Swordsgirl" will has the same result. She came to HK for promotion is just to carry out her responsibility. She said, "I do not want to pressurise myself. I admit that sometime I worried too much that I get into the dead end, but now after my friends have given me a rational analysis and valuable opinion, I realise that I should relax and if not I will not be able to make any progress and I will even break down." Zhao Wei first meeting with Jackie Chan was last year when she was in HK attending Taiwan Earthquake Charity Show. But they did not talk much due to many people around. Later on, Jackie went to Beijing on private affair, met Zhao Wei and they have a good talk. Jackie told Zhao Wei, "It is difficult to have the opportunity like you, you should seize it. You can help other people whenever you can even you are a mega-star. You should maintain humble, obliging and sincerity." Zhao Wei remembered what Jackie Chan had taught her and said, "Look at all these years, Brother Chan has been treating people with sincerity. He has a heart of baby. I should learn more from him." She had visited Jackie Chan during her last visit in HK. She believed that this "Big Brother"would be able to give her some golden advice again.
She has not watched any horror film yet: Previously, when she came to Hongkong, she only interested in shopping and eating but now she has changed. She hopes that she can know more about Hongkong in her next trip. Though she is an optimistic and care free person, Zhao Wei has a "chicken-hearted" When she was in the hotel interviewing by the reporters, one of them asked her whether she has any strange encounter during the Seventh Month of lunar Calendar (which is also known as "Ghosts'Month). With such an eerie topic at the early morning of 4 a.m., no wonder Zhao Wei felt scared and wanted her pregnant manager to accompany her. Zhao Wei told the reporters, "So far I haven't seen any horror film yet. When I was in Taiwan doing the promotion, one of the popular Japanese horror films "Shen Zi"was showing there, so I bought the ticket thinking of seeing the film to improve my courage but when I was inside the theater less than 5 minutes, my phone rang. So I took this as an excuse and rushed out from the cinema. At the end I still didn't see the horror film." Matter of fact, Zhao Wei so far does not has the experience of meeting these spiritual beings but while she was in Cheng De shooting HZGG, when she entered one of the hotel rooms, she had a strange feeling so she decided to change room with one the crew members. After changing she felt at ease and the poor chap who exchange room with her had swollen face next morning. So it is up to you to believe or not!" Previously, Zhao Wei ever decided that if film-makers asking her to act in the film regarding supernatural beings, she will reject. But now she has thought otherwise, "I feel that a person has to face challenge and just because of my phobia, I might lost the opportunity of acting in good horror film. So I have to conquer my phobia."
