HA NOI ¡ª Vietnamese films lovers will have an opportunity to enjoy five famous Chinese films during a Chinese film week which will begin next week in HCM City and in Ha Noi.
The film week, organised by China¡¯s Administration for Radio and Television, and Viet Nam¡¯s Ministry of Culture and Information (MCI), is part of a programme celebrating the 15th anniversary of the establishment of dialogue relations between China and ASEAN.
The five films include The Romantic Girl, A Time to Love, Taekwondo, Who says I Don¡¯t Respect, and The Year Ruoma Is 17 Years Old.
Vietnamese audiences can meet Zhao Wei, the famous Chinese actress, in the film A Time to Love, for which she won the Jin Jue award at the Shanghai International Film Festival 2005.
The Romantic Girl features famed Chinese actress Tian Hai Rong, who won the title of best actress at Changchun Film Festival for her performance in the film.
As part of the film week, the chief of the Chinese Cinema Department will work with authorities from the MCI to discuss co-operation and exchange between the two countries¡¯ film industries.
The film entitled Ha Noi, Ha Noi, which the two countries have co-operated to make, will be screened in the capital city next month.
The Chinese film week will be held at the Galaxy Cinema in HCM City from next Monday to Friday, and at the National Cinema Centre, 87 Lang Ha Street in Ha Noi next Wednesday to Sunday. All tickets to the films are by invitation. ¡ª VNS
