At first,no report thought that Zhao Wei can act Qing shen shen yu meng meng(ÇéÉîÉîÓêÃÉÃÉ)(english tittle:Romance in the Rain,Love Rain) successfully.They said that Zhao Wei just is the Little swallow(HZGG I&II).And that drama have a classic version.
Surprisingly,Qing shen shen yu meng meng is a hit series in most of Asia!Zhao have a good performance in QSSYMM.In Taiwan,the TV drama defeat South Korea drama Gaeul donghwa(english tittle:Autumn Fairy Tale).And ranked 1.In Hong Kong,the drama ranked TOP 10 of 2001.In China mainland,the rating broke CCTV-8 highest record and ranked 1 in the year(no CCTV-8 drama can beyond the rating untill now).
In South Korea,thousands of fans discussed the drama on the web.And South Korea media said Zhao Wei is the first hot idol hit Asia and Zhang Ziyi's first enemy in Asia!
In 1998-2001, every year rating champion are all Vicki's.Taiwan media called her "Chinese TV drama queen".

But none of them can defeat Vicki' old drama re-release.So she came back to film TV drama in 2004.

In the summer,Zhao Wei went to New York and filmed some photos for a Chinese magazine Shi Zhuang(ʱװ)(english tittle:Fashion).In September,the magazine sale.In December 3rd,there was a message display on the web.The writer said that China national idol wore a dress looks like Japanese Flag in a photo(just one photo).
The next day,lots of Chinese media report it.The news shocked whole nation.Thousands of Chinese abuse her.Zhao Wei was filming Warriors of Heaven and Earth in Gebi desert.she didnt know what happend.3 days later,the incidnet became a political incident.Some China mainland media said that they will ban Zhao Wei,never report her any news.Some survivers said they want to Zhao Wei's apologize.In December 8th,Vicki apologized(Net,Newspaper and Broadcast).And China famous programe Entertainment Live went to Gebi to film the apologize.(Vicki phoned them.She want to apologize by Television.)
After several times apologized,lots of Chinese media and people didnt forgive her.Lots of Chinese media report "Kill her!""F*ck her!""Put Zhao into prision!""She is national prisioner!""Her action like Japanese amy!Zhao Wei is our enemy!""Zhao Wei,kill yourself to apologize!"....(there were thousands of comments,beyond "911")



No one blame the designer,everybody think that's designed by Zhao Wei.



In December 28th,attacked during a New Year concert.Shocked whole nation.In Sina.com poll,more than 70% Chinese surpport the man.They said "He should kill her!""He is a national hero!""He is a real Chinese!""He should f*ck her on the stage.""Hey,you'd better use HCL to wash her ugly face next time!"

i guess the chinese media just saw an "opening" where they can just attack her.... they blew everything out of proportion and then would listen to what wei was saying..... and they're still doing that til now
