Serial Moment In Peking (MIP) has finally finished filming, but the only person of the lead cast left was Pan Yue Ming (playing Vicki's husband). Vicki Zhao, Pan Hong, Chen Bao Guo were not present due to having finished their filming couple days prior.
MIP, by author Lin Yu Tang, is getting major support from CCTV. This is Vicki's first role in series after 5 years, creating much attention and anticipation. Also a historic year for China, marking the 60th anniversary from Japanese invasion of WWII. MIP's Taiwan production 16 years ago became a classic with Zhao Ya Zhi's sweet protrayal of lead role "Yao Mu Lan," befitting of that time period.
When asked what her feelings toward this role are, Vicki said that the times have changed, and people's views on these characters have also changed. The real Yao Mu Lan is a very stubborn/strong character, she has the ability to see in the future and hold her life in her own hands, thus abling her to support a family during the crisis of war, and survive.
